1st Day of School

We started out the day very excited at breakfast and while getting our backpack ready. However, when we got to school not so good. Ashlee did great, but she is in third grade, so I wouldn't expect any different(she is such a big girl). Hannah, well she cried. She didn't want us to leave, it was so hard. I finally told her we would go eat Chinese for dinner if she was a big girl. That made it a little better. They both love Chinese food.

Congratulations to Ashlee

Ashlee was honored at a Bowling Green Hot Rods minor league baseball game as one of Western Kentucky's 2009 Student Athletes. She received one ticket to the game and was recognized on the field at the start of the game. The selection was based on the schools criteria for academic and athletic accomplishments. It was a fun night for the entire family.

This is Hannah's first attempt at soccer. At first it was going well and then she got afraid of falling and getting hurt.

Here is what I woke up to this morning. More trees and limbs continue to fall, as well as more ice. The ice is due to continue throughout the day and into tonight.
